Why I picked 13 Reasons Why
Im currently reading 13 Reasons Why. I picked this book for many reasons. First off I love books that kind of have a mystery/ dark genre. Books like this really intrigue me and I always have a hard time putting them down. I also picked this because my sister read it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I figured it'd be a good choice. I made sure it'd be a book i was interested in because i only like reading when it's a really good book. Otherwise i usually only read when I have to & I never enjoy it. I'm about 50 pages in and so far I'm really liking it.
13 Reasons Why is about a girl who committed suicide and left behind 13 tapes explaining why she did it. The tapes include the names of 13 people who contributed to her death. Her demand is that all 13 people recieve the tapes as they are passed around. Im currently on the part where the first person to recieve the tapes is listening to them. He gets very emotional and is currently developing a strong character because of how he is reacting. A question I have is what would you think if you recieved the tapes? How would you react?
If I recieved these tapes I would feel awful for the rest of my life, knowing that I caused someone to take their own life. I would probably be emotional and try to be nicer. I would make a big change to turn my life around and treat everyone with kindness, never leaving anyone out.
ReplyDeleteI would be kind of emotional and a little crept out about getting a tape about reasons why someone killed herself. I would also feel awful for the person who committed suicide, and would start to be nice to people because of this. on the other side, I would freak out because I would feel like that person is going to haunt m for the rest of my life.
